In 2024, Cod and Cowboy designed and developed the website for imby project, a nonprofit providing storage for the unhoused. The challenge was to come up with a design that struck a balance between the seriousness of the subject, and the hope of the service being provided. We also designed the logo.

It has been a fundamental value of our work since we started Cod and Cowboy two decades ago to support clients who support the community, and there are few better examples of this than The United South Broadway Corporation. Among their many vital programs, USBC has not only helped historically disenfranchised members of the community build and keep wealth and equity through supportive housing services, they have been pioneers, for decades, in consciousness raising through anti-racism workshops. We have proudly been providing ongoing design and communications services for USBC since 2016, including a recent redesign of their website in the Spring of 2020.

Cod and Cowboy was commissioned back in December 2013 to create a website on behalf of the Bosque Action Team (B.A.T), a coalition of local community organizations, environmental groups and private citizens. The goal of the B.A.T is the preservation and restoration of the Bosque, a strip of minimally developed land running through the heart of downtown Albuquerque. The coalition includes some of New Mexico's most prominent environmental organizations, including The Aldo Leopold Foundation and The Sierra Club.
The website features a rotating slideshow of Bosque images on the homepage. This site is fully responsive and features a content management system (CMS) that makes it easy for the client to maintain and update the site on their own.

On May 18, 2014, in partnership with mim.fm, a social music venture, we organized and produced Vet Visions and Voices: A Music and Art Benefit by and for Vets. The intent of this show was to give voice to the Veteran community and to facilitate connection and healing through personal expression and the sharing of information about local resources. There were powerful testimonies from Vets, including Indigenous American healer and Veteran Oatzi'nu" She'e'lake'e' who generously offered his healing services free of charge to any Vet present at the event.
In addition to organizing the entire event (booking the artists, securing the venue, recruiting volunteers, etc), we handled all facets of the promotion including photography, flyers, posters, web design, ads in local listings, and social media. We also launched a Facebook page intended as an ongoing resource for vets to upload art and music, and to connect with and support each other. The page can be found at:
Proceeds benefited the participating artists and Henderson House, a shelter for Women Vets and their children.
Cod and Cowboy worked with producers and other creatives at New Mexico PBS in 2016 and 2017 to create web and graphic design content, as well as daily social media output, in support of their terrific programming. Projects included a multimedia digital series called New Mexico & the Vietnam War: Portrait of a Generation, a webpage in support of the First Nation documentary called Defending the Fire, an overview of noted Masterpiece series programs, a poster in support of an interview with famed activist and performer Maria “Masha” Alyokhina, and a page in support of New Mexico veterans called New Mexico Veterans: Stories of Service.
Every year, Iraq War Veteran Alex Limkin organizes a rigorous hike / pilgrimage in honor of his fallen commander, Colonel Ted Westhusing, called Operation: Skywalk. We have been honored to design the poster for this special event over the past few years. Here is the design for the 2016 Skywalk:
In January of 2014 we completed a redesign of the mim.fm website. The new site features a clean layout with parallax scrolling, and has a responsive design that adapts elegantly to a variety of viewing sources (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone).

Since 2012 we have been doing design work for a terrific organization called The Mountain Fund, an NGO that addresses poverty-related issues in developing mountain countries. I have produced a variety of materials for them including logos, brochures and annual reports.
The report highlights progress made in Nepal through a variety of programs and services developed by The Mountain Fund.

One of The Mountain Fund's many great programs is Her Farm, a project that helps Nepali women achieve independence. We were asked to design the Her Farm logo, as well as a brochure to promote the program.

In the fall of 2012, engineer Dylan Wood asked us to come up with a name and logo for his new studio. We came up with the name “Gimbal Design” since a gimbal, a pivoted support that allows the rotation of an object about a single axis, is an integral part of many engineering projects, and the name would be easy to remember and spell. The logo we designed, which are the letters “G” and “D” connected together via a single axis point, is meant to suggest a gimbal.
