The following graphs show the areas of improvement in the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the New Mexico PBS website as a result of design and usability changes I made to the website during my tenure, starting in September of 2016. The red bar represents the point at which the changes I implemented were first reflected in the data, the gray bars indicate the average performance for all the PBS stations nationwide, and the orange line represents the performance of the New Mexico PBS website.

The most dramatic improvements were seen in duration (the length of time, in seconds, spent on the website), page depth (the number of pages viewed during a visit) and bounce rate (the percentage of time users left the website immediately after viewing one page. Note: a lower bounce rate indicates better performance).

The data was provided by a PBS service called PBS Station Manager, a repository for station metadata, which can be administered by station users via a console and API.
